Community Supports Hills Footy Player after Tragic Accident

The community is raising money for an Adelaide Hills football player who has lost the use of his legs.

Jake Bilsborow left work early on Wednesday to go for a swim with friends at a waterhole in Bridgewater.

The 18-year-old took a running jump but slipped on wet leaves and hit the rocks below, breaking his back, scalp, collar bones, two ribs, and his spinal cord.

A Go FundMe page has been set up called ‘Help support Jake Bilsborow’.

“It is very important that as a community we get around this young man and his family to support their tough road ahead. His new challenges in life will require assistance, not only from Family and Friends but financially,” the page reads.

As of Tuesday morning, $128,000 has been raised of a $160,000…
