Another special moment from our Southern White Rhino crash – this time between seven-month-old calf Eshe and nine-year-old female Savannah. Looks like little Eshe’s horn still has some growing to do! 🦏
Sadly, one of the biggest threats to the wild population of Southern White Rhinos is poaching for the international rhino horn trade, which sees rhino horn commanding a high value on the black market for alleged medicinal purposes. This illegal trade has seen the incidence of poaching escalate hugely over recent decades.
As a conservation charity that exists to save species from extinction, we won’t stop fighting until Eshe and Savannah’s wild cousins can roam safely across their native range.… More
